TERMS & CONDITIONS

If this is not acceptable we will offer a full refund for the outstanding ad. The refund will be issued without question but will not exceed the cost of the ad and no further losses, perceived or consequential losses will be considered.

PAYMENT TERMS

 

When booking for the first time we require payment in advance for that ad-block (of two ads). If receiving a discount for a multi issue commitment we require a direct debit or standing order to be set up for the period of the agreed promotion. Payment must be received in any case 28 days before publication.

 

If under some unforeseen circumstance you have to cancel an advert and received a multi ad discount we will remove the discount applied before calculating your refund. 

 

Adverts are booked and printed in blocks of two and so cannot be altered or canceled within the block. Printing takes place 21 days before a publications release, so we require 28 days to cancel unprinted adverts. 

 

 

CODE OF ADVERTISING

 

We accept adverts and advertising material in good faith. Although we will try our upmost to provide a representative impression of featured business and/or service we do not take responsibility for inaccuracies, misleading content provided intentionally or otherwise. 

 

Advertisers please ensure your adverts conform to the British Code of Advertising Practice, that it accurately reflects the products and/or services you provided. Any claims made by advertisers must be supported by appropriate evidence made available on request.

 

We may refuse to publish any material we deem illegal, offensive or otherwise unsuitable for our publication.

ONLINE ADVERTISING

 

The advertiser guarantees that any website pages, social media pages they provide as links from advertisements on Leeds Streets websites, and social media accounts will contain only appropriate promotional content, nothing illegal, offensive or otherwise unsuitable for our publication.

 

The advertiser guarantees that the content will be honest and truthful and that they are authorized to use the content by the copyright owners for promotional purposes; and that the content contained therein will not in any way compromise the reputation of Leeds Streets.

 

When the advertiser is not the business owner and/or service provider the advertiser guarantees that it has authority to act on behalf of their client in this matter and will compensate Leeds Streets for any claim made against Leeds Streets arising from this matter. 

 

We reserve the right to remove online published content or links we deem or are found to be illegal, offensive or otherwise unsuitable for our publication. 

 

We reserve the right to remove online published content or links we deem or are found to be dishonest and untruthful or unauthorized.

 

We reserve the right to do this when brought to our attention/or at our earliest opportunity, with no recourse for compensation, for loss, perceived or consequential losses. 

 

Leeds Streets website is a supplementary service provided gratis to published advertisers. We cannot guarantee a continuous, uninterrupted service but will try our best to provide this. We cannot give a lifespan for the website, no guarantee is given in regard to online adverts, blog content, social media content and other content beyond our control. We will not compensate for loss, perceived or consequential losses in this matter.

LIABILITY OF THE ADVERTISER

 

The advertiser will be solely responsible for claims, fines, losses, damages, legal fees, expenses and liabilities resulting from any breach or failure to comply with any of our terms and conditions.

 

 

PERMISSIONS

 

The advertiser grants permission to Leeds Streets to use the advertisers name, trademark and logos for the purpose of promotion and advertising, to reproduce the advert in any media for the purpose of promotion of the original advertiser or in case of the advert for the promotion of Leeds Streets.

 

 

CLIENTS AUTHORITY

 

When an advert is placed by an advertising agency or anyone other than the business owner and/or service provider advertised, the third party is therefore seen as the advertiser in this matter. 

 

The advertiser guarantees that it has authority to act on behalf of their client in this matter and will compensate Leeds Streets for any claim made against Leeds Streets arising from this matter. 

 

When an advert is placed by an estate agent, (on behalf of a home owner), in the case of property advertised, the third party is therefore seen as the advertiser in this matter. 

 

The advertiser guarantees that it has authority to act on behalf of their client in this matter and will compensate Leeds Streets for any claim made against Leeds Streets arising from this matter. 

 

 

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

 

By placing an advertisement the advertiser confirms they have read and understood these terms and conditions and accept them in full.

DEFINTITION OF TERMS

 

‘Leeds Streets’ means Leeds Streets Ltd Company Number: 12594295 whether trading as Leeds Streets or York Streets Registered Office: The Ronson Building, Limewood Approach, Leeds, LS14 1NG

 

‘The advertiser’ means the person placing the advert in either the printed or digital magazine, website, or social media platform owned, handled or managed by Leeds Streets.

 

‘Artwork/Advert’ means advert, advertorial, editorial or article.

 

‘Material’ means material supplied for the purpose of creating an advert, advertorial, editorial or article ie. text, photography, illustration or logo.

 

‘Publication’ means either the printed or digital magazine, website, or social media platform owned, handled or managed by Leeds Streets.

 

‘Deadline’ means cut off date for inclusion in the publication.

 

‘Ad-block’ means adverts published and printed in a block. Leeds Streets ads are booked and printed in ad-blocks of two.

 

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO US

 

ARTWORK 

 

When we prepare artwork for you:

 

Please ensure we receive material to create your advert within the timeframe and in the format we request to make the publication deadline.

 

When you supply completed artwork to us:

 

Please ensure we receive print ready artwork; by the cut off date; to the specs and in the format we request, to make the publication deadline.

 

In any case:

 

You are responsible for checking the accuracy of all information contained in your advert whether it is produced by us, or provided to us by a graphic designer or agency you commission.

 

We will send you a digital proof by email the first time your advert runs to enable you to check your ad. We will require confirmation by email that your advert has been checked and approved within the agreed timeframe. 

 

If your ad runs for more than two issues and you require it to change, please inform us within the agreed timeframe.

 

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

When we prepare artwork for you:

 

Please ensure you have the permission of the copyright holders for the material you provide, that the: text, photography, illustration or logo were commissioned by you for purpose of your promotion; or that you have permission of the copywriter, photographer (model where appropriate), illustrator or graphic artist to use their work for your promotion.

 

When you supply completed artwork to us:

 

Please ensure that the designer commissioned to create your advert did so for our use or for you to use freely as promotion. If the advert you wish to use was created for you, by another publication, the publication retains copyright and cannot be printed by us.

 

Please do not use artwork created by us for your promotion with another publication without obtaining our permission. 

 

 

EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY

 

We cannot accept responsibility for the following:

 

Late corrections or amendments: Inaccuracies contained in content noticed after the cutoff deadline. Ultimately it is your responsibility to check your content.

 

We will take every care to reproduce adverts to a good standard but cannot guarantee a colour match on printed content.

 

Print quality: Loss, perceived or consequential loss arising through content supplied in the wrong: format, resolution or dimensions for the space booked.

 

We will take every care to publish content in the agreed timeframe but cannot guarantee exact publishing dates.

 

Delayed publication: Loss, perceived or consequential loss arising through delayed distribution.

 

We will take every care to comply with the advertisers wishes but cannot guarantee exact position of adverts.

 

Printing error: Loss, perceived or consequential loss arising through error, inaccuracy or omission in printing. 

 

 

OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU

 

If, for some unforeseen circumstance, we fail to publish your advert due to over subscription or in error solely due to our mistake, we will offer an alternative publishing date.

 

If this is not acceptable we will offer a full refund for the outstanding ad. The refund will be issued without question but will not exceed the cost of the ad and no further losses, perceived or consequential losses will be considered.

 

If for some unforeseen circumstance, we fail to amend your advert (and you informed us within the agreed timeframe), if the error is solely due to a mistake on our part and is substantial we will amend the ad and republish at no further cost to the advertiser. We will offer an alternative publishing date.
